The base pay actually offered may vary based upon the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.As a candidate, you are encouraged to ask compensation related questions and have an open dialogue with your recruiter who can provide you more specific details for this role.Job Description:Guidewire Claims Senior Engineering Manager, TD InsuranceThis lead role will manage a portfolio of technical assets, oversee design, execution, and release of Claims enhancements to production, remediate risk and control findings, and provide oversight to a team of Guidewire Claims Center engineers. This role requires technical experience including web service integration, Guidewire Claims Center, software engineering management, and a background in delivering solutions in the insurance industry. The ideal candidate will have technical proficiency, Claims knowledge, as well as delivery experience managing project schedules.Key responsibilities include:Technical Asset Owner: Manage a portfolio of technical assets. Work with vendors, compliance partners, technical teams, and key stakeholders to mitigate risk and remediate findingsDelivery: Oversee the project lifecycle for Claims initiatives, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of features and enhancementsTechnical Strategy and Design: Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to define and implement a technical roadmap for a set of podsTeam Leadership & Development: Manage and mentor a team of software engineers, setting performance goals, conducting reviews, and providing ongoing coachingQuality Assurance: Collaborate with QA teams to establish robust testing protocols, ensuring system reliability, performance, and compliance with industry standardsStakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for a set of initiatives, providing updates to stakeholders and managing expectationsLead / manage a team of Engineers / Technology Specialists and oversee related engineering analysis activities and deliverablesProvide overall team leadership, training, coaching, development, succession, recruitment and resource management, and ensures on-going performance feedback and assessments occur and development plans exist for each team member. Engages team with Platform and Journey leads to ensure 2-way feedback of Practitioners occurs. Execute introducing engineering tools, methodologies and processes across the enterpriseAccountability to understand the current skills and capabilities within their practice, actively working to close gaps that may exist through additional learning, coaching, supports etc.Leverage deep technology expertise for own area of specialization to deliver and ensure that all areas across the organization that provision, manage and support various technologies have the necessary tools, processes and documentation required to effectively execute on their respective mandatesExecute on Engineering strategy as it relates to the introduction of tools and the automation of build, test, release and configure activities across Application, Platform and InfrastructurePartner with the Operations team to automatically integrate with appropriate tools and processes as part of automated/self-serve Application, Platform or Infrastructure releasesWork with partners across Technology and apply in-depth understanding of relevant business needs to identify and leverage synergies across the various areasAct as the exp
